Hey! Sorry about not updating for an entire year, but there’s a reason for that, so I’d like to get everyone caught up real quick.
First, I have great news that it occurs to me I never posted on the Looking Glass: Elysium Protocol, the third Architects Of The Illusion book, has been completed and is currently undergoing the beta-reading process. In short, I’m super-excited about it: this behemoth of a novel came out great, and I can’t wait for you to get to read it. I want 2018 to be the year it drops, so stay tuned for more info.
(Incidentally, I updated the novels page of this site with some review links you may not have seen. Enough slacking on my end!)
Secondly, I want to introduce you to my brand-new YouTube channel, Roundabout Media! Check it here. We’ll mainly be talking games on the channel, and if you’ve enjoyed the game articles on the Looking Glass, I highly recommend you check out Roundabout Media!
This is the reason updates were so scarce (if we’re honest, nonexistent) on the Looking Glass in 2017: whenever I would come up with an idea for an article, I’d file it away with the assumption that I’d be able to get more out of the topic as a video than as a text article. The story of how tech-inept me took so long to get my YouTube apparatus sorted out verges on ridiculous, but now we’ve emerged on the other side of that – feels good, man.
I’ll also be making more of an effort to update the Looking Glass, pivoting it to cover subjects that would be more effective to explore in text than on video (such as if I review an album: I can’t show licensed music on YouTube, so I’d rather just put out a text article rather than narrate the review, so that you can read at your own pace.)
